About Training Sessions
What can I expect from a personal training session?
Every session is tailored to your goals and energy levels on the day. We'll focus on movement that feels good and build your confidence, whether that's strength training, cardio, mobility, or a mix. There's no script you have to follow and no pressure to perform.
How long is a personal training session?
Standard sessions are 45–60 minutes. We can adapt depending on your needs, energy, or schedule, including shorter sessions if that works better for your brain.
Do I need to be fit to start personal training?
No. You don't need to get fit before starting, that's what the sessions are for. I meet you exactly where you are, with no judgment and no assumptions about what you should already be able to do.
What if I don't know how to use gym equipment?
That's completely fine. I'll guide you through everything step by step. You'll never be left guessing, watching a demo you didn't understand, or feeling awkward for asking again.
Neurodivergent Personal Training
Do you offer personal training for autistic adults?
Yes, it's what I specialise in. Sessions are built around your brain and body, with no pressure to mask, explain yourself repeatedly, or perform neurotypical responses. You can show up exactly as you are.
Do you offer personal training for people with ADHD?
Yes. I understand how executive function challenges, hyperfocus, task initiation difficulties, and rejection sensitive dysphoria can affect training. Sessions are structured to reduce decision fatigue and work with your ADHD, not against it.
Can I bring fidget tools or noise-cancelling headphones?
Absolutely. Bring whatever helps you regulate — fidget tools, headphones, a comfort item, your own playlist. Sessions are a sensory-safe space and you won't need to justify any of it.
Do you mask during personal training sessions?
No. I show up as my neurodivergent self and you're welcome to do the same. Stimming, needing processing time, going non-verbal, changing plans last minute; none of that needs explaining or apologising for. Sessions are a mask-free space.
What if I need to cancel due to autistic burnout or a bad sensory day?
Burnout, shutdowns, and bad sensory days are valid reasons to reschedule. Just let me know as soon as you can. I build flexibility into working with neurodivergent clients because I know these things aren't predictable.

Where do you offer personal training in Wolverhampton?
I'm based at JD Gyms Wolverhampton and offer personal training both in-person and online. Contact me to check current availability.
Do you know JD Gyms Wolverhampton well?
Yes; I work there as a fitness coach, so I know the layout, the quietest times, and how to navigate the space if crowds or sensory overload are a concern. I've put together a complete guide to JD Gyms Wolverhampton covering everything from access to quiet hours.
Do you offer personal training for people with gym anxiety?
Yes. We can start during quieter times, use less crowded areas of the gym, or begin with online sessions to build confidence before stepping into the gym in person. There's no timeline you have to stick to.
How do I book a personal training session?
Via the contact page, by DM on social media, or by texting 07855 285514. I'll confirm availability for in-person sessions at JD Gyms Wolverhampton or online.
What is your cancellation policy?
24 hours' notice where possible. I'm flexible with emergencies; particularly for neurodivergent clients where burnout, shutdowns, and bad sensory days are valid reasons to reschedule.

Goals & Approach
Can a personal trainer help with weight loss?
Weight loss may be part of your goal and that's valid, but it's never the only focus. I work on building sustainable habits and improving your relationship with movement. Fitness that actually sticks looks different for everyone.
What does progress look like if it's not about weight?
Showing up when anxiety is high. Trying a new piece of equipment. Sleeping better. Carrying your shopping without getting out of breath. Feeling at home in the gym instead of like you don't belong. These are the wins that matter most and they're what we track.
