Fitness with Feeling: Personal Training That Actually Gets It

If you've ever walked into a gym and felt like you didn't belong... If you've been talked down to, overwhelmed, or completely lost during a workout... If you've started over more times than you can count...

Hi. I see you. Because I am you.

I'm Rhiannon, a neurodivergent personal trainer based in Wolverhampton, UK. I’m an autistic ADHDer, and someone who's had a complicated relationship with fitness, food, and my body. I've lost over 100 lbs. I've also put most of it back on.

That experience? It's one of my biggest strengths as a fitness coach and specialise neurodivergent personal trainer.

Because I know what it's like to try your absolute best and still feel like you're not getting it right. I know what it's like to juggle mental health, executive dysfunction, sensory overload, and all the invisible stuff that makes showing up harder than people realise.

Why My Coaching Is Different

I created Not So Typical Fitness because traditional fitness didn't work for me. It wasn't accessible, it wasn't kind, and it completely ignored neurodivergent people.

I'm not the kind of personal trainer who will:

  • Bark orders at you

  • Push unrealistic expectations

  • Hand you a strict meal plan with zero flexibility

Instead, I will:

  • Ask how your brain works before suggesting how your body should move

  • Turn down the music if it's overstimulating

  • Explain every exercise clearly—as many times as needed

  • Create flexible, ADHD-friendly support that works with you, not against you

I don't do cookie-cutter plans. Whether you're building confidence with weights, learning gym equipment without panicking, or just finding courage to walk through the doors, I'll be right there beside you.

Who I Work With

My clients include:

  • Autistic adults starting fitness for the first time

  • ADHD women looking for structure that doesn't feel suffocating

  • Anxious people who feel gym-avoidant or completely new

  • Anyone who's been made to feel like they don't "fit in" to fitness

There are no requirements except being willing to try. You won't find "no excuses" slogans here. You'll find kindness, flexible structure, and a real human being who doesn't pretend to have it all together.

You Don't Need to Be Fixed. You Just Need to Be Heard.

I became a personal trainer because I didn't see anyone like me in the fitness world. I didn't feel welcome. I want to change that—for you, and for everyone who's ever felt like fitness wasn't made for them.

You don't have to be skinny, neurotypical, confident, or already fit to work with me. You just need to be ready to try, even if that means trying again.

This video demonstrates proper walking lunge technique with a clear message: fitness isn't about appearance—it's about strength, health, and feeling good in your body. As a personal trainer in Wolverhampton who specialises in creating inclusive fitness environments, I believe everyone deserves access to quality training regardless of shape, size, or experience level.

Ready When You Are

If something here spoke to you, and you're thinking "maybe this time could be different"—let's chat about your goals.

Start Here:

Book your first session and let's create a fitness approach that actually works for your brain, your body, and your life.

You don't need to be "fit enough" to start. You just need to start.

If you've been waiting for the right time, the right person, or the right environment—that time might be now, and that person might be me.
